Family Photos

We recently had our pictures taken, as you can see, and the results were great! The neat thing about these pictures is they were taken by a first-year student of mine. I checked out her website (click here on Fo-Kus Photo), and I felt she could do the job well. I hadn't seen her in years (seriously, she was my student in 1998!). She works out of her home, and while this made it more comfortable it still didn't help Cara behave very well. :0

Hang in there on Mason's video... it's a little monotonous at first, but he gets his moves going toward the end. And yes, things are tough here.

OBAMA carries IOWA. I will not be going to sleep until I hear the final tally, and most likely an inspiring speech from Barack Obama. I voted early this morning, before school, and I took the kids with me. The boys were very interested; Cara not so much.

*I know I cannot accurately describe my emotions upon finding out the Barack Obama is the next President of the United States. I found myself in tears, and I looked to my left to see Mason asleep on the couch. He and Brennan will have a profound role model during the next 4-8 years, and it will be an amazing thing for them. I know right now they do not get the total significance of today's historic vote; but someday they will - and they will remember this day. And they will look back at all people who made sacrifices to bring about this change.

My friend Sharie has mentioned this blog a couple times now, and I just spent some time checking it out. She has awesome! stuff, and I would love to see Cara in some of the items. Check it out! She has an on-line store opening soon, and I'm sure I'll be buying some things.
