Not the Most Exciting of Months, I Guess

So it's been 3 weeks since I last wrote on here. Tomorrow is March. I think the weather has been getting to me. Also we've done nothing of significance. I thought I hadn't even taken any pictures since Cara's birthday, but I found these on the camera today:
Today the kids and I went to Jordyn's 1 year birthday party. She was wearing a beautiful dress, and she just looked so cute walking around in it. We had a good time.

"Am I Four Right Now?"

Those were Cara's first words when she woke up this morning! She is so excited for her birthday. I sent her off to preschool and she was bouncing/running she was so happy. Pretty soon I'll meet her back at preschool to hand out her birthday cupcakes. After lunch we are heading to Build-A-Bear Factory with her friend, Leah, and my friend, Jodi (whose birthday is also today!). Tonight we are going to HyVee for Pancake Pandemonium (I just love saying that) for all you can eat pancakes for $1. After that we head back to our house for a small family party. What a fun day for a 4 year old!

Staying Busy

This time of year is brutal. It's still so cold, but then the temp spikes up a little and makes us crazy for spring. We're tired of staying in the house and ready to play. So I've been trying to keep us busy... here are a few things we have done in the past few weeks:

Brennan and Mason posing with a Super Bowl cake - we celebrated the Steelers' win!

Brennan played in his basketball games.
We went in with some neighbors and paid for a hotel room, just so we could use the swimming pool! It was cheaper than going to the Y for 4 of us. Cara finally learned how to swim/play in the pool with her life vest on!

Visited the Science CenterVisited Josh, Missy, Ben, and Jordyn... Brennan even got to go to part of a high school basketball game with Josh.
